Basketball Instructor - Kristan Colleran
One of our Basketball Instructors, Kristan Colleran, has decades of experience both on and off the court as a player, coach and player/coach.
Kristan began her career at age 5 and has not stopped since!
A 4 year starter at North Royalton for the JV and Varsity program, Kristan is no stranger to competitive basketball.
After High School Kristan accepted a scholarship and played 2 years in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
Kristan was Head Coach for 7 years (2006-2012) at Horizon Science Academy. Kristan also coached Denison Middle School Boys in the Akron CYO and Concept Schools Annual Tournament.
Kristan was Assistant Coach for Horizon Science Academy & Denison Middle School Girls in the Concept Schools Annual Tournament for 2 years (2011 & 2012).
Kristan was a leading force that helped create and build a basketball program that went to 4 straight CYO Championships in her final 4 years of coaching for Horizon Science Academy.
Further adding to her resume, Kristan was Assistant Coach for 1st & 2nd grade boys and girls basketball program through North Ridgeville Parks & Rec (2016)
In addition to her impressive coaching resume, Kristan has played in competitive women's leagues since 2007 including the Cleveland Heights Women’s League and Seven Hills Women’s league.
Kristan specializes in fundamentals and skills for both boys and girls, with a focus on players ages 6-14.
